The short version
MSP360 (formerly CloudBerry) is a cross-platform backup product for individuals, businesses and MSPs, installed on the machines it protects — workstations, servers, VMs — and backing them up into storage you bring yourself. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and its bring-your-own-storage model means the bytes land in your own S3 or Azure account. BucketPilot manages the buckets themselves: bucket-to-bucket replication, SFTP/Azure migration, search, cost, and team access, from a browser with nothing to install. Which should you use?
Choose MSP360 if the job is protecting machines — file and image backup, SQL and hypervisor workloads, many endpoints under central management. That is what it is built for, and BucketPilot does not do it at all: we never touch a machine you own.
Choose BucketPilot when the data already lives in buckets and the work is operating them: replicating between accounts and providers, pulling SFTP drops in, finding things, and giving a team safe access. Some shops run both — MSP360 fills the buckets, BucketPilot runs them.
